Product Details

1. Product Introduction

When protective fungicides are applied in rainy regions such as southern China, the active ingredients on crops like fruit trees are often washed off by rain, resulting in a short duration of efficacy and poor disease control. To address this issue, our company has launched SP-4372, a rainfastness-enhancing adjuvant. This adjuvant improves the retention of fungicides on leaf surfaces and extends their duration of efficacy.

3. Product Features

  1. A specialized rainfastness-enhancing adjuvant that effectively improves the adhesion of pesticides on target plant leaves and significantly enhances the retention of active ingredients on target surfaces.

  2. Promotes the formation of a stable pesticide film on leaf surfaces, strengthens crop protection, reduces the loss of active ingredients caused by rain washing, and extends the duration of efficacy.

  3. Flexible application methods: suitable for tank-mix use or in-formulation addition, adaptable to various protective fungicide application scenarios.

  4. Recommended dosage:

    Tank-mix: dilute 5,000–10,000×

In-formulation addition: 1–2% of the formulation weight.

4. Application Examples

Using 40% Chlorothalonil SC as the base formulation, a test was conducted to evaluate the rainfastness effect of SP-4372. The test results are as follows:

Figure 1. Rainfastness effect of 40% Chlorothalonil SC on different leaves

As shown in Figure 1, after adding SP-4372 to 40% Chlorothalonil SC and spraying on the leaf surfaces of cabbage, pothos, and broad beans, followed by rain washing under the same conditions, the residual amount of the spray solution on the target surfaces was significantly higher than that of the basic treatment without adjuvant, indicating a marked improvement in retention.

Figure 2. Comparison of residue rates of 40% Chlorothalonil SC before and after rain washing

Note: 40% Chlorothalonil SC is a commercially available product.

As shown in Figure 2, after adding 2.5% SP-4372 to the 40% Chlorothalonil SC formulation, the rainfastness of the fungicide is significantly enhanced. After rain washing, the majority of the fungicide still remains on the leaf surface. The leaf surface retention is greatly improved, and the protective ability against diseases on crop leaves is significantly enhanced.
